It’s a hot day in Montreal, the end of August, autumn not feeling close at all. If my dogs were here, they’d be jaunting outside for short stints of sunbathing then coming in to conk out in front of the fans. It’s announcing feels like 40 C today, so find a fan and stay cool people.
I’ve been painting a variety of things lately, but it’s been a particular joy to paint my dogs, who I lost 4 months apart last year (2021). They were rescued racing greyhounds, the sweetest and gentlest creatures and a dear part of our family. We will love and miss them forever.
The two top ones are oil on canvas, 12″ x 12″, Axle in his natural red and Echo in black and white, though she was a blue brindle. The last one is Axle in a chair called Lounging. 9″ x 12″ oil on wood panel. The top ones are not for sale but the bottom one is.
Have a wonderful day and hug hug hug your pets.
